Awesome photos as usual! I especially like the ones with the rain clouds in the distance. Then again, I’m a sucker for storms. I might be moseying down to that part of the country later this year, so I might have to hit you up for some suggestions.

It would be my pleasure to hook you up with some info. And if it’s an area I don’t know, I’ll find someone who does. By the way, you can also click on these photos for a bigger view. I’ll see if I can dig up another storm shot or two. When the monsoon storm season gets rolling here, I’m really gonna work on getting some good shots. Gonna need a remote and a good tripod, though!

  3. Wow, what an adventure to come! Can’t wait to see the real deal if this is just the preview:)
It actually looks like Poas volcano crater, with out the heat!

I think you’ll dig it, Marina! I can only imagine what this place was like when the volcano was active …

  5. There is something so beautiful and raw about these photos. Something that brings out a desire to be there in person, but a cautious weariness about whether I would be capable to take on something that seems stronger and more powerful than me!
Perhaps some day… For now I will admire your pictures, stories and adventures… :-)

Thanks, Chantel! I’ll tell you what – there is nothing as cool as a volcanic landscape. There’s something so awe-inspiring about evidence of the earth’s power and how quickly it can change a landscape.
