Thanks, Chantel! I'll tell you what - there is nothing as cool as a volcanic landscape. There's something so awe-inspiring about evidence of the earth's power and how quickly it can change a landscape.

There is something so beautiful and raw about these photos. Something that brings out a desire to be there in person, but a cautious weariness about whether I would be capable to take on something that seems stronger and more powerful than me!
Perhaps some day... For now I will admire your pictures, stories and adventures... :-)

I think you'll dig it, Marina! I can only imagine what this place was like when the volcano was active ...

It would be my pleasure to hook you up with some info. And if it's an area I don't know, I'll find someone who does. By the way, you can also click on these photos for a bigger view. I'll see if I can dig up another storm shot or two. When the monsoon storm season gets rolling here, I'm really gonna work on getting some good shots. Gonna need a remote and a good tripod, though!

Awesome photos as usual! I especially like the ones with the rain clouds in the distance. Then again, I'm a sucker for storms. I might be moseying down to that part of the country later this year, so I might have to hit you up for some suggestions.
