Well, I’m starting to feel like I’m actually missing out by not having cable. The Feb. 23 episode of “Dual Survivor” on The Discovery Channel is taking place in my ‘hood – Arizona.
That also means that co-star Cody Lundin, aka Abo Dude, is in his element. The desert! One preview posted on YouTube has me really excited – Cody shows how to turn an agave stalk into a canteen. Now, I know a lot about agave. You can turn them into a needle, a rope, a shot of tequila and even into a pretty awesome didgeridoo. But using s a hot coal to make a canteen? Awesome.
And so how is Cody getting along with Dave Canterbury? I sense a congenial antagonism. They doing what Australians call “hangin’ s**t” on each other. I sense mutual respect for their individual knowledge. Dave clearly gets that Cody knows his stuff, but neither is going to let the other get away without some ribbing.
